Department/ unit description 

The Director Business Finance is responsible and accountable to oversee all business finance and analysis functions of the global Phosphate Commodities business unit.
Phosphate Commodities including: Rotem, YPH, Amfert (Netherlands and Germany), Boulby (U.K) and Rotem-Turkey.
The position leads the BU Commodities global business finance team and establishes all needed financial and business relationships with internal stakeholders such as BU management, Headquarter, Division and subsidiaries.
He/she is accountable to ensure timely and accurate reporting of business results, preparing business decisions, forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning as well as overseeing consolidation of business unit financial data. 
In focus is the control, monitoring, analysis and pro-active optimization of costs and the BU financial results to drive the execution of the business strategy.
This position includes also project focused tasks including evaluating costing, investments, as well as coordinate potential acquisitions. 
Oversee tax compliance in terms of transfer pricing, operations business analysis / CAPEX adding global business know-how.

: Areas of responsibility
• Serve as business partner to the BU's units, to VP FP&A Phosphate Solutions Division and other senior management on strategic planning, business analysis and preparation of decision taking.
• Participate in establishing the strategic direction for the BU, identifying business development opportunities, and improving operating performance.
• Create transparency in business processes and transactions to direct the business management of the business unit.
• Provide business advice to management on cost and process efficiencies as well as follow up of progress in key success measures.
• Provide Investment feasibility calculations and portfolio analyses to ensure appropriate utilization of financial resources.
• Manage the consolidated financial management reporting of the subsidiaries to include financial statements, key indicator reports, variance analysis and peer analyses as required.
• Assist in coordination of the Company’s business intelligence systems requirements and implement solutions to achieve business transaction and process transparencies.
• Work closely with finance leaders to develop proactive and innovative business analysis strategies.
• Manage and ensure training and development of business finance personnel, and assess resource needs to implement the Divisions business analysis plans and acquire/hire/outsource the appropriate personnel to accomplish same. 
• Conduct strategic financial planning in conjunction with the company’s general business plan and those of specific operations.
• Facilitate financial data collection and financial analysis related to actual consolidated profitability data, budget development and forecasting and develop and refine analysis.
• Preparation and presentation of consolidated financial plan and results to Business Unit Management Team and Division 
• Review and analyze consolidated, divisional and subsidiary financial results including cash flows and balance sheet management.
• Provide business advice and financial direction to subsidiary companies.
• Engage as a partner in the business Unit development efforts.
