:Job description
Industrial Products (ICL-IP), the industrial chemicals division of ICL, is the world’s largest producer of elemental bromine, supplying over 33% of global demand. The company is a leader in the production and marketing of bromine and bromine compounds, and phosphorus-based compounds. The Business unit is serving a wide range of industries and applications, such as, drilling and completion fluids, microbial and water treatment solutions, Life Science – Pharma, Agro, mercury emissions reduction and energy storage
ICL-IP has an opening for a Senior Scientist/Electrochemist, who is passionate about energy storage and battery materials. The successful candidate is committed, focused, detail-oriented, able to adjust in a fast-paced environment, collaborate well with other staff members and demonstrate excellent organizational communication skills


Job Duties
Perform and manage research in the field of
Aqueous based Flow/non-flow batteries
Li-ion batteries
Red-Ox Electrochemistry
Design, test and evaluate various types of electrodes, flow-frames and raw materials
Understand the fundamental properties of various electrochemical systems, reaction interactions of the cell components mechanisms, failure modes and other insights
Procure and maintain of electrochemical instruments, chemicals, and lab equipment
Ability to analyze patents literature and academic research papers
Initiate scientific collaboration with relevant players in the academia and industry


:Requirements/Skills
Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in electrochemistry or a related discipline
Innovative skills, creativity, proactiveness, quick learner and problem-solving attitude
complete assigned and work independently to complete tasks with minimal oversight
Ability to analyze electrochemical data and draw effective conclusions
Experience in various battery systems such as Li-ion Batteries and aqueous based batteries
Strong knowledge on solid electrolytes, cathode material synthesis, super capacitors - Advantage
