About the job

The Sustainability Counsel will work directly with the VP General Counsel EU & Asia and the wider Global Sustainability team to pro-actively advice on various regulatory issues and support and develop ICL’s Sustainability projects and initiatives.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Enable & Educate: contribute to the development and implementation of ICL’s Sustainability strategy together with our Sustainability team and other relevant stakeholders. Provide subject matter expertise on the implementation of current and developing Sustainability disclosure frameworks and other regulations. Support local ESG projects.
• Execute: drive the execution of our Sustainability strategy, turning ambitious plans into measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented professional who excels at translating strategy into action, ensuring that sustainability initiatives are not just theoretical but are fully implemented and deliver tangible results. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and build strong relationships across the company, engaging stakeholders at all levels to foster collaboration and achieve our sustainability goals. Proactive problem-solver who thrives on getting things done and making a real impact.

About you

• 4+ years of relevant experience in an international business environment and multi-cultural environment.
• Demonstrated experience in contributing to sustainability initiatives, with an emphasis on advancing ESG matters while achieving meaningful outcomes.
• Solid, practical judgment in business matters, including with respect to Sustainability and ESG issues. High professional ethics and personal integrity is a must.
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating the value and impact of sustainability initiatives to both internal and external audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently with regular consultation and with proper supervision.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Available to work from our European Headquarters in Amsterdam.

Location: ICL EU HQ, Koningin Wilhelminaplein 30, Amsterdam (we have a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office)
