Global Operational Buyer 


In this role you will actively participate in global and regional IT, Travel, Facility management and professional services sourcing / procurement activities and lead smaller sized initiatives yourselves to achieve the best qualitative and sustainable solutions and services against the lower market costs.  You will work closely together with a team of Global Sourcing Managers, Hub Managers, Tactical Buyers, other Operational Buyers in a global environment with different cultures and stakeholders. 


Your focus will be split between longer term tactical and strategic tender processes and business improvement programs, s assisting in preparation and coordination as well as operational buying activities such as monitoring the purchasing process negotiating with smaller sized (+50K$) suppliers. 


As Global Operational Buyer, you have a key role in our organization. You will be the 1st point of contact for our internal stakeholders and colleagues at designated sites and work on a daily basis with quite different business units and global service providers from all over the globe on a day to day basis. 


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the sourcing activities for the global IT, Travel, Facility management and professional services subcategory with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving quality or vendor service levels;
  • Combine the role of Operational Buyer (main focus) and partly the role of Sourcing Manager (secondary focus).
  • Maintain procurement documents, files and records
  • Assist sourcing managers in tabulating bids and preparing proposals, and provide general office support
  • In charge of the operational / administrative part of the sourcing process;
  • Issue purchase orders/call-offs is an important task within this role;
  • Vendor management;
  • Negotiate with (local) suppliers of services;
  • Assist the Global Sourcing Managers in preparing and coordinating bids, provide them with relevant information;
  • Review, prepare, verify and/or approve financial and business transactions within established frameworks and guidelines. 



  • Bachelor or Master degree and relevant work experience within Procurement is desirable; 
  • Experience in working with procurement systems like SAP MM;
  • Excellent command of English, Hebrew, Dutch and German are desirable;
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
