Job Description
ICL is looking for a motivated and technology-oriented MBO Level 4 IT student to join our Local Onsite IT Service Desk team in Amsterdam.
As an IT Service Desk Intern, you will support ICL employees across the Netherlands by resolving IT support tickets and providing first-line technical assistance. You will gain practical experience in a corporate IT environment, working with hardware, software, applications, and end-user support while learning from experienced IT professionals.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical troubleshooting skills, customer service mindset, and understanding of IT service management processes.
What You Will Do
As part of the Local Onsite IT Service Desk team, you will:
Provide first-line IT support to ICL employees via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
Install, configure, and support standard business applications and workplace devices.
Assist users with password resets, account-related requests, and general IT inquiries.
Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support teams when required.
Support desktop and laptop deployment, configuration, and maintenance activities.
Monitor and follow up on tickets to ensure they are resolved within agreed service levels.
Work with Access Management, Problem Management, and Change Management teams when necessary.
Contribute to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and IT service quality.
What We Are Looking For
Education
MBO Level 4, or Bachelor student in IT Systems & Devices, IT Support, Infrastructure, or a related IT field.
Currently enrolled at a Dutch educational institution.
Skills & Experience
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
Familiarity with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and workplace technologies.
Interest in IT support, service management, and end-user assistance.
Knowledge of ITIL or IT Service Management principles is considered an advantage.
Previous experience through school projects, part-time work, or personal IT projects is a plus.
