About the Role

As Head of Indirect Procurement for MRO and Capex (Equipment), you will take ownership of global and EU-level procurement strategies for these critical sub-categories. Reporting directly to the Global Director of Indirect Procurement, you will lead a diverse team and drive initiatives that deliver measurable value to ICL’s operations worldwide.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Hold responsibility for Global and EU region results & implementation, including compliance with ICL standards within the relevant sub-categories stated above.

• Lead a team of Global Sourcing Managers, Regional procurement teams (Germany & UK), and Global Operational Buyers.

• Negotiate and close large framework agreements for significant sub-category products and services.

• Establish global/regional supplier relationships with major suppliers and industry leaders.

• Provide in-depth expertise regarding suppliers, markets, and trends in the relevant sub-category.

 

In addition to these, you will:

You will take ownership of a sub-category spend exceeding $100M, analyzing all relevant products and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Based on your findings, you will allocate responsibilities across global, regional, and local levels to ensure optimal execution. Acting as the primary point of contact for a major ICL site, you will manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.

Your role will also involve defining and leading global procurement strategies for MRO and Capex, ensuring that ICL delivers greater value in cost, speed, delivery, responsiveness, and quality of services to our customers. By staying ahead of domestic and international supply market trends, you will incorporate these insights into category strategies and drive best-in-class supplier evaluation and negotiation processes through rigorous analysis of supply and demand dynamics.

 

 

Expected Breakthroughs (Next 2–3 Years)

You will lead global and EU procurement for MRO and Capex, driving significant reductions in total cost of ownership and delivering measurable impact on ICL’s bottom line.

Experience and background:

• 15-20 years of experience in indirect procurement , with specific expertise in MRO and Capex procurement in process , chemical or manufacturing industry.

• Expert level background in Category Management, Understanding of supply markets and price cyclicality in relevant commodity markets.

• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship and project management skills

• Track record of development and execution of key procurement processes, Strong business orientation and understanding of business processes

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience industrial manufacturing field with ability to understand engineering process , material management and plant maintenance related topics.

• Proven experience and expertise in managing global and diverse team of procurement professionals
