As part of this strategy, our Global Procurement and European Legal, Human Resources, Finance and IT services are in the process of being centralized at our new Regional Service Center in Amsterdam. This will create exciting new opportunities for ambitious and internationally oriented professionals, at various levels of expertise, who want to contribute to this next step forward.
The challenge for our Procurement organization is to finalize the setup of the new Global Procurement Organization which is a centralization of local purchasing activities into regional and global offices.
To continue the started process, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Manager as Head of Global Phosphorous Procurement.
You will be part of the Global Raw Materials Management Team. In this role your goal will be to lead the Sub Category Phosphorous. You will generate improvements on the basis of Strategic fit to ICL, Sustainability and total cost of ownership in goods and services. You will have intensive and regular contact with our internal and external business partners. You will report to the Head of NPK global procurement.
You will interaction with high level Business Managers of our suppliers and the ICL Divisions
Tasks and responsibilities
• Professional team lead of the Global Phosphorous Procurement subcategory
• Define the Sourcing of the key products within the Global subcategory Phosphorous
• Act as ICL and Industry expert in the global Phosphorous World
• Be part of long term strategic project of ICL with the expertise in Phosphorous
• Drive Sustainability and Decarbonization with the Subcategory
• Bring new innovative products and ideas into ICL
• Drive sourcing and supplier development of recycled phosphate materials
• Intensive contact and relationship development with internal and external business partners;
• Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends of the Phosphorous sub-category;
• Perform best-in-class negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends;
• Establish and manage global l relationships with Key Suppliers in the Subcategory
• Global Travel 20-30% is part of the job
• Provide guidance and guidelines to the regional procurement personnel
Your profile
• Master degree in a relevant field combined with an MBA would be an ideal fit
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience and proven professional success in procurement and/or marketing & sales for Raw Materials
• Understanding of supply markets and price cyclicality in Raw Materials/commodity markets;
• Special expertise in Phosphorous Markets is a plus.
• Demonstrable track record of success in managing a multicultural team in a complex, cross-functional, multinational environment and developing/executing key procurement projects.
• Excellent command of English is required. Any other language is a plus;
• Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication and supplier relations skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively, and in a partnership and matrix management style organization;
• Strategic thinker and process oriented manager;
• Strong business and negotiation skills and a flexible, result driven personality.
