Job Description

ICL's European headquarters in Amsterdam is home to our Global Procurement Organization (GPO), where we drive global sourcing strategies, negotiate, and approve global procurement contracts. We are seeking a Global Sourcing Manager for our Indirect Contractors Category, that has a strong experience in creating sourcing strategies while having a pragmatic approach.

About the position

You will lead the procurement of indirect services and manage strategic and sourcing activities within our Contractors & Energy sub-category including Projects and MRO, You will be responsible for Israel and European countries, working in a team of Sourcing Managers and Operational Buyers in this sub-category. You'll report into the Head of Indirect Contractors and Energy.

 

What you will be doing

As our new Global Sourcing Manager you'll actively participate in strategic sourcing activities for our Contractors sub-category (with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels), as well as carry out sourcing activities for Service contracts for maintenance & operations, Capex projects & Engineering activities. In more detail, this means you will

 

• Participate in Value Engineering activities;

• Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close framework-agreements of Global & EU region services under the Contractors sub-category;

• Drive product demand optimization throughout ICL via collaboration with the relevant ICL units;

• Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends of the Contractors sub-category.

• Perform best-in-class negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends;

• Establish and manage global/regional relationships with suppliers;

• Monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments;

• Address & solve operational issues with suppliers.

• Provide guidance and guidelines to the regional/local procurement personnel.

 

About you

To be successful in this challenging role, you bring a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in projects contracting and an understanding of contracting services markets.

Because of the international nature of this role we require you to have an excellent command of English and either Spanish and/or Hebrew. Furthermore, you bring

 

• Strong negotiation skills and result driven personality.

• Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication and supplier relations skills;

• The ability to work collaboratively, and in a matrix management style organization.

Location: You will be based at our EU headquarters in Amsterdam, working on-site for 4 fixed days per week, with the option to work remotely for 1 day.
