Exciting Opportunity for a Europe Credit Manager with International Business Experience.

Join our dynamic treasury team at our Amsterdam HQ. In this international environment, you will handle daily credit control and management tasks, support the sales department with credit management, and assist in SOX audits and monthly/quarterly closing activities. This role emphasizes practical financial management across borders. You will report to the Head of Treasury Europe and oversee two direct reports.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Compliance Management: 

  • Align credit processes across European countries in scope.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and generate bi-monthly debtor reports. 
  • Maintain customer credit lines, including contacts with the credit insurer. Serve as the primary contact with the credit insurer (Atradius).
  • Handle SOX reporting.

 

Evaluating Creditworthiness

  • Assess the financial stability and creditworthiness of potential customers.
  • Coordinate with the group credit manager on new and existing credit limits.

 

Sales and Marketing Support: 

  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing to provide insights into customer performance.
  • Manage customer credit lines, including interactions with credit insurers. 
  • Negotiate and find creative solutions with the sales team in cases of cover shortages.

 

Handling Collections 

  • Collaborate with collections departments to manage overdue accounts and resolve credit issues.

 

Unified Reporting: 

  • Simplify reporting mechanisms in ERP (SAP and QAD) for a clear, global view of credit positions.
  • Facilitate efficient decision-making by transforming financial data for easy interpretation.
  • Support in preparation of the reports on credit activities to management.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the global credit insurance department.

 

Customization and Optimization: 

  • Tailor ERP (SAP and QAD) functionalities to meet the specific credit management needs.
  • Optimize the system for maximum efficiency. 

 

Integration with ERP: 

  • Collaborate on seamless ERP (SAP and QAD) integration with the new SAP credit management tool. Lead and support projects and implementation for the Credit Management Tool for Europe region.
  • Maximize efficiency by ensuring a smooth interaction between ERP (QAD and SAP) systems.

 

Fraud prevention

  • Continuously gather and analyze data on potential fraud threats.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of credit processes and controls to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with anti-fraud policies.
  • Regularly training employees on the latest fraud schemes and prevention techniques. This includes recognizing red flags and understanding the importance of following established protocols.

 


Profile:

  • University degree
  • Experience in credit management using QAD and SAP ERP solutions
  • Knowledge of trade incoterms
  • Strong understanding of credit management standards
  • Proven ability of navigating and harmonizing financial processes across countries. 
  • Experience in providing training and support to team members
  • Excellent communication skills and persuasive abilities
  • Flexible and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment

 

Languages: Proficient in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
