Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role 


As our Business Intelligence Analyst, you monitor global macroeconomic events, analyze and prepare ICL procurement organization and businesses for potential impact. Your deep understanding of ICL key purchasing markets and associated markets along the value chains, providing cost analysis, supply and demand drivers and trends will support strategy creation for the relevant ICL products and services. Utilizing internal business and external market information you can forecast future industry performance and make recommendations to procurement and the business during all stages of sourcing process. Hence, you serve also as an operational excellence and provide this knowledge to enhance creation of tailored tools to procurement and business processes. Besides, you will support procurement with implementing tools for internal reporting, spend and category management support, KPI measurements, spend, category management, strategic sourcing and other related activities. 

 

Your responsibilities are:

 

  • Monitor, organize and analyze international market data, industry trends, production chains, supply and demand trends to support the supplier evaluation and negotiation process.
  • Analyze internal procurement data to identify risks and opportunities for improving the procurement operations.
  • Collect, manage large databases alongside with building and maintaining knowledge management platform.
  • Produce summary reports that include key information and insights for senior managers.
  • Regular updates of newsletters.
  • Build analytical tools to improve GPO overall working efficiency 
  • Gather market intelligence both internally and externally, transform them into knowledge and meaningful insights, utilizing BI tools to provide internal stakeholders with deeper understanding of ICL key purchasing markets along the value chains.
  • Monitor IT trends and identify emerging technologies, understand their relevance to ICL business needs; serve as operational excellence and point of reference on such topics, thus, to support in translate business needs to practical solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant office applications, proficiency in a query language and ability to work with diverse BI tools (power BI, SAP analytic cloud).

 

About you: 


As a BI Analyst you will be the central point of contact for all related activities. You have the ability to work with diverse BI tools, have a proficiency in a query language and have the affinity to explore data to extract insights and actionables so that organizations can make decisions that will enhance profitability and improve business performance. Ultimately, you are aware of your role to contribute to the shaping the business, by understanding the market, thinking and acting strategically by delivering the value to the customer. 

 

Your requirements are:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field as Procurement, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of data and financial analysis experience or 3+ years of procurement, supply chain or operations experience.
  • You have a deep understanding of quantitative analysis, e.d. worked with relevant computer systems/programs such as SAP, SAC, Excel, Access, Power BI etc. 
  • Experience in working with data management, modeling and visualization
  • You are team goal focused, experience in project management, international environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding the value chain of a chemical process
  • Able to work under pressure, shift in priorities and self-starter
