International Sales and Business Development at ICL Salt

For a new position we are looking for someone in international sales and business development for Salt products within the Business Unit Salt of ICL Europe.  

The product portfolio ranges from specialties salts to De-Icing products, derived from both vacuum recrystallizing and mining operations at our site in Catalonia. Our customers are industries and distributors in Europe. Regional expansion, amongst others to the US, is one of our strategic directions. 

Located in Súria, our salt facility produces both rock salt and vacuum salt for a variety of industrial, agricultural and municipal purposes. On top of that ICL runs an operation for the production of highest quality solar salt in Israel. 

 

ICL is a leading provider of industry and agricultural raw materials and specialty products that enhance quality and safety for everyday life and help farmers improve yields and quality of their crops. 

 

About the job 
This an exciting opportunity to create new markets and add value to ICL. We have invested strongly  in salt and we are now ready to develop further markets and our portfolio. Our spirit is entrepreneurial and enthusiastic. You will be part of a small new team where your impact is palpable and your ideas will be more than welcome. 

There is a lot of potential in different areas. Your first focus might be on the domestic Iberian and neighboring European markets to set the stage for internationalization and globalization which will be part of your responsibility. You will report directly to the Global Business Lead Salt.   

 

About you
This is a real challenge! To be successful in this role you have at least 10 years of relevant international sales experience, this can be from chemicals, food or animal feed. 

  • You are a senior sales professional with an entrepreneurial mindset. You work independently and are experienced with remote management in a multicultural setting. 
  • You know how to build a sales plan and develop markets from scratch. 
  • You have the availability to travel (depending on our global situation) up to 50%.
  • Great influencing and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Spanish, any other European language is an advantage 

 

Location: preferably in Catalonia/Spain or home office in Europe or US.
