I'm interested! What will I get to do in this position?

• You will assist Production Engineers in troubleshooting process problems and finding and implementing corrective actions.
• You will proactively look for opportunities to improve ICL’s production processes and products and then develop the means to make these improvements in collaboration with production and R&D.
• You will apply statistical methods, computer simulations, experimentation and analytical methods to increase ICL’s understanding of its processes.
• You will be R&D’s interface with production during process startups and in this role, you will actively participate by transferring R&D process know how to production and engaging other R&D resources as needed.
• You will use the services of consultants, external labs and other outside vendors when appropriate to improve the outcomes of your work.
• You will apply the knowledge of ICL’s products and processes that you gain from experience and leverage R&D’s resources to assist in the qualification of raw materials from new vendors for production. 

 

Required Skills:
What you need for this job:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience performing chemical lab work
• Experience using GC, HPLC and titrimetric analytical methods
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret analytical chemical results
• Ability to manipulate data in spreadsheets
• Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control laws and regulations
 


What will set you apart:
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical production or chemical R&D role preferred
• Knowledge and experience with phosphorous chemistry
• Experience using Aspen software
• Experience using ICP, AA and other analytical methods
• Work experience with chemical unit operations
