Amega Sciences plc (part of ICL-group) is an established company of 38 years producing specialty products for use in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Amenity sports sectors. Amega Sciences has Research, Development, and Trials facilities in Daventry, Northamptonshire. We are currently looking for a scientific technician, preferably with chemicals industry experience to join our Research & Development Team.


The ideal candidate will have a tenacious, problem-solving nature, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to their work.
The role provides a wide variety of tasks and requires a multidisciplinary skillset.
You should be comfortable working both in a laboratory and at a desk.
Previous experience working within a laboratory environment is not essential but would be advantageous.
Previous experience mixing chemical liquids is not essential but would be advantageous
You must maintain required standards of housekeeping
The ideal candidate will take ownership of the samples process ensuring samples are produced accurately and on time.
Be prepared to undertake with direction multiple laboratory support activities:

1.    Complaints investigation
2.    New material evaluation
3.    Competitor products evaluation
4.    Stability sample preparation
5.    Stability sample interim checks and record keeping

Required qualifications and skills:

Minimum A-Level or equivalent in a scientific subject
An interest in science
Attention to detail
Problem solver
Able to plan, prioritise, and manage workload to meet deadlines
Must be able to communicate well with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Intermediate level of IT skills with Microsoft applications: word, excel, or equivalent.
