As our Head of the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) Business Intelligence Team you will lead the analytical insights for all procurement strategy development with your team. Are you looking for a role where you play the key part in providing the market insights and utilize data to forecast future industry performance and make recommendations to procurement? Our BI team is part of ICL European HQ, the home of our Global Procurement Organization (GPO). ICL’s global sourcing strategies, negotiations and approvals of our global procurement contracts are steered and made in this office.

 

About the role 
You and your team will provide analytical insights for the procurement strategy developments to our Global Procurement Categories. Monitoring global macroeconomic events, analyze, and prepare reports and insights. Your deep understanding of ICL key purchasing markets and associated markets along the value chains, providing cost analysis, supply and demand drivers and trends will lead to better strategies and data driven decision making for the relevant ICL products and services. 

 

Utilizing internal business and external market information you can forecast future industry performance and make insights and a basis of decision making to procurement and the business during all stages of sourcing process. You will provide this knowledge to enhance creation of tailored tools to procurement and business processes. Besides, your team will support procurement with implementing tools for internal reporting, spend and category management support, KPI measurements, spend, category management, strategic sourcing and other related activities. You will also work with your team on selected special projects or market insight for ICL Divisions or R&D if there is a request and you have the resources to support.

 

Other then above your responsibilities will be:

  • Liaise with GPO senior management and ICL business units to identify opportunities where the BI team can bring value. 
  • Interact with the various business intelligence group of ICL Divisions
  • Interact and support M&A activities 
  • Lead project teams and projects to enhance market and management data
  • Provide insights of international market and industry trends
  • Be part of the ICL Global Raw Materials Management Team and of the ICL Sourcing Committee

 

About you: 
You have a master’s degree in a relevant field e.g Procurement, Supply Chain, Analytics. To be successful in this role you bring already relevant experience in a data-driven role with leadership capabilities. Understanding a Value Chain in the Chemical Industry and understanding Procurement. You are a strong user of analytical tools (SAP analytical cloud but also tools like power BI) and you are an expert excel user. 

 

You also bring the following skills:

  • Drive results with and innovative perspective complimented by the ability to focus on the big picture.
  • Good skills to interact with people and a service driven attitude 
  • Strong knowledge about chemical processes and financial aspects. Having a chemical and financial background can be a great plus.
  • Development & empowerment skills to bring the best out of your team
  • Good English is a must, any other language is an advantage
